NAVAL SPOOKS - "CT SAND CRABS"
The NAVCOMMSTA, PUERTO RICO published a monthly newspaper called the SPECTATOR that had articles of interest to all personnel stationed at Sabana Seca, and the other bases that were on Puerto Rico and connected with Sabana Seca. The articles covered a large variety of topics.
The articles covered advancements such as the one above where Joe Stearne (a CIBER -PLANK OWNER of this website) and R.S.Mitchell pin the Sergeants stripes on a fellow Marine. They also covered sports, Naval Parties, personnel arriving and leaving the base, and as the following article shows, they covered awards.
